born from vividfoods
vividfoods is a company rooted in the food industry, specialising in convenient packed meat and seafood for Portugal’s top retailers, with over 3 million meals served annually.
"vivid" is no coincidence
it embodies life, vibrancy, and vitality. Yet in 2022, as we sought to expand vividfoods into vegetables, we faced a harsh truth: our food and food systems can do so much more to serve both the planet and our health. Urgent action is needed to transform it. With biodiversity shrinking in our lands, diets, and bodies, we asked ourselves a pivotal question: If vividfoods’ role is to address the end result of food, how can we not care about the beginning and everything in between?

We saw an opportunity to be more than just part of the system. This realisation was a wake-up call to rethink our purpose. Today, fully aware of the food system’s profound impact on both health and the planet, we work with a sense of urgency, pursuing conscious business models committed to well-being and future generations.

vividfarms was created as a response, a place for action, learning, and transformation.
We are committed to understanding the food system systemically, exploring agriculture, cattle management, science, design, medicine, gastronomy, and art. By experimenting with conscious farming practices, we study deeply, innovate boldly, and inspire others to follow a path toward a healthier, more balanced future.
As farmers, we see ourselves as custodians of human well-being. We’re working to reconnect consumers with the origins of their food, fostering literacy and understanding about the role of agriculture in shaping society. Farmers are far more influential to human health than doctors, and the health of our soil directly impacts the health of future generations.
Food is empowerment.
Where and how we spend our money determines how the planet’s resources are used. Choosing food grown with care supports not only the planet's health but also the health of humans and animals.
